( ASEAN Neuro Interventional Association Conference )

Greetings,
Over the past two decades, neurointervention has advanced rapidly. The development of neurointervention across ASEAN countries has its own unique characteristics, as most member countries are still developing nations. The number of neurointerventionists has grown alongside the emergence of new, sophisticated devices. However, access to these devices remains limited compared to developed countries. This situation creates a distinctive landscape, where decision-making must often balance clinical needs with financial constraints.
Neurointervention services in Indonesia are particularly unique. Most procedures are performed by neurologists, alongside other specialists such as neurosurgeons and interventional neuroradiologists. The government’s official stroke network program has undeniably been a major driving force in the expansion of neurointervention services. Academic centers have established fellowship programs, and the government actively sends fellows abroad for further training. While this brings many benefits, it also presents certain challenges.
ANIA (ASEAN Neurointervention Association) serves as the perfect platform for neurointerventionists across ASEAN countries to come together, share experiences, and discuss pressing issues in the field.
The Indonesia Neurointervention Working Group warmly welcomes you to the 2nd ANIA Meeting. We hope this event will continue to grow into a lasting tradition and a strong forum for neurointerventionists throughout the ASEAN region.
Welcome to ANIA in Jakarta!
